WORKSHOP INSTRUCTORS
Tamara Burke Tamara, of OrbWeaver Web Works, has more than two decades of sales and marketing experience. Tamara specializes in promoting the Vermont brand and New England sheep and wool products. OrbWeaver Web Works coordinates and builds the online presence for small farms, lodging establishments, and retail outlets with an emphasis on creative use of mainstream media to promote sites.
Carol Buskey Ten years ago, Carol began to explore wet felting. She has worked with both wet and needle felting, using a variety of fibers and techniques. She has taught felting workshops in Pennsylvania and California. Carol is an experienced teacher, her workshops in New Hampshire and Vermont's Upper Valley are very popular.
Elaine Clark Elaine is the owner of Frelsi Farm in Limerick Maine where she raises Icelandic sheep. Elaine is committed to education and support of the small or hobby farmer in the areas of animal husbandry, land management, and economical farm management.
Gillian Fuqua Gillian, owner of Lilydale, has been a knitter since childhood and has added spinning and weaving to her fiber arts over the last several years. She raises a small flock of Jacob sheep with an emphasis on fiber quality for the handspinner. Gillian has taught both adults and children.
Cathy Martz Cathy is owner of DreamAcres Studio in Westport, MA. At her studio she combines instruction of the fiber arts with a high quality music school as well. She provides camps, workshops and ongoing classes for fiber artists of all levels. Cathy's classes are popular for her innovative uses of color, texture and form.
Barbara Tonnissen Barbara is owner of The Wool Shed, a fiber arts studio in Worcester VT. She is committed to the sale of Vermont fiber and to the education of spinners and knitters. She runs popular workshops and classes in knitting and spinning. Her line of handspun yarns is sold throughout the central VT area. Barbara is an adventurous spinner, experimenting with methods of fiber preparation, color, and fiber combinations.
